These days just about anyone can design a website or webpage using programs from GoDaddy, Wix, and many others. To have a website that gets your company the best results requires a lot more than just a website with a product and a shopping cart.
Rule #1 – You can have the best looking site on the web but if no one knows about it and it doesn’t function correctly then you have wasted your hard-earned money and more importantly time.
OUR BEST PRACTICES
VIEW 360 WEBSITE BEST PRACTICES
1. Consistent Branding
It’s important to create a strong brand identity. This includes your logo, social media, website, labeling, brand voice, and brand message.
2. Clear CTAs (Call to Action)
Your Call to Action needs to be clear on exactly what you are offering on your website and what your customers should expect for the action you are wanting them to offer them.
3. Intuitive navigation
Your website should give users a solution to complex problems or access to some helpful content. You should make this info easy to find and easy to access from any type of device.
4. Clean Design
This is one of my favorite best practices. Make your website easy to read, understand, navigate, and be a great resource for a potential customer. Use white space to make your site easy to read, understand, and digestible for your reader to understand. I like to call this easy on the eyes.
5. Storytelling (Also one of my favorite)
Brand stories are the most common way for humans to make sense of your brand and nothing does that better than a great brand story. We all have an appetite for a great story. Tell your WHY? Why you do what you do? Why you love what you do? Why someone should do business with your brand?
6. Great Visuals
Remember when you were a child and your parents started to teach you how to read? It was done with images and illustrations because it was easier for you to understand what the book or story was about right? Well, the same still holds true for adults. People love to see great visuals so they can better comprehend what to expect from your brand, product, or service.
7. Mobile-first design
One of the most important practices today is making sure your website is designed using Mobile First Design. Most consumers are using mobile devices like phones, IPads, and tablets to find, view, and search your website. If you do not design a website that uses Mobile First Design strategies then you are doomed to fail before you even get started.
8. Make Search Engine Optimization (SEO) a Priority
This best practice is very important if you want to have a website that is successful. Although many people choose to ignore this because there is just so much to this topic they tend to just give up. There are plenty of resources on the web to help learn how to optimize your website for search engines but View 360 Marketing also can help you with this if it scares you away from making sure your site is optimized to get the best results.
